Hey Sharon.......... I hit send before I sent prayers and hugs to your
(((Mom))) I am sorry to hear she is fighting cancer. I hope that both of
you are able to *beat* these crummy illnesses that we have! I also hope
that Mr. Right comes into your life and helps *share* some of these burdens.

I'm definitely not a superwoman...... just another hepper trying to take

Hi Sharon and I am so sorry to hear about all of your problems. I don't
think I have ever heard of anyone else taking that much Interferon for that
long. Seems to me the old dosage was 3 million units (?) three times a
week or 1.5 million units(?) for those I knew that were taking the Infergen
daily. My mind isn't a steel trap anymore so I might be remembering wrong
:-( Why in the world did your doc Rx so much for you? I know that some of
us have had alot of problems because we are *allergic* to interferon. As
you have probably seen from previous posts I also had a terrible time on the
old combo. So you have not had treatment since 1996 and are still having
all these problems? I wish there was something I could do or say to help
Sharon but I am at a loss to understand why none of these things got better
for you. What do your docs say about all of this? When were you
diagnosed that you were able to get three rounds of interferon done by 1996?
and obviously this was all monotherapy because I know they didn't have
ribaviran back then. I know that the combo was approved in December 1998
because I started it shortly after. Have any of your doctors offered any
explanations? I really would be curious to know what they are all telling
you. I sure hope things get better for you soon Sharon. WOW..... that is
quite a story!
