   a quick fly by but wanted to post a few
   things. First we need to all remember that EVERYONE reacts
   differently to treatment and just because some get sick doesn't mean
   everyone will. Some never get nausea at all, some take only ginger,
   and others have to have Rx's. Also three shots a week is not
   necessarily the OLD combo. Back in the *old days* you could only
   get Scherings IntronA with Ribaviran (it was bundled together). Now
   that you don't have to buy Scherings product to get the antiviral
   (Ribaviran/Copegus) alot of docs are finding that people are
   responding well to Intermune's Infergen (three times a week shots of
   nonpegylated interferon) WITH ribaviran. It is being used in
   varying patients for various reasons. Some are nonresponders and
   one lady in my group was recommended the Infergen based on her *age*
   (older) and genotype and another had additional medical problems that
   the doc thought the three times a week would be easier on the body
   and more likely to clear the virus. Just wanted to clarify to Mary
   that her son isn't on an old out of date treatment :-) Many people
   had great success with daily Infergen and boot legged riba back in
   the old days but that is another story LOL I am off to bed.
   Need to get up early tomorrow and Saturday. I am going to a
   Transplant Wellness Conference at Cobb Galleria (anyone else going?)
   and hope to learn ALOT while I am there. It is all day Saturday
   from 8a to 5p. Those that know me well know those aren't my best
   hours but I do want to go and learn. Take care all!
